Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Effective September 1, 2026, all users logging in to the TranSafe Portal will be required to have Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enabled on their account. Accounts that have not completed MFA setup by this date will be prompted upon sign in on September 1, 2026.

What is MFA?

MFA adds a second layer of security to your account. In addition to your username and password, you will be prompted to verify your identity using a one-time code delivered via one of three methods:

  • Authenticator App
  • Text message (SMS)
  • Email

Want to set up MFA ahead of the deadline? If you’d like to enable MFA on your account before September 1, 2026, please contact TranSafe Support and we’ll help you get set up right away.

How to Set Up MFA

Option 1 — Authenticator App (Recommended)

Install an authenticator app on your Android or iOS device. We recommend choosing an app that supports cloud syncing so your codes are not lost if you replace your phone.

  1. Open the app and select Set up an account from the menu.
  2. Select Scan a barcode, then scan the QR code displayed on the TranSafe Portal login screen.
  3. If you cannot scan the QR code, select the “Show Key” button and manually enter the 16-character key shown on screen.
  4. Your app will display a six-digit code. Enter this code into the TranSafe Portal.
  5. Press “Submit” before the code expires.

Option 2 — Text Message (SMS)

  1. Enter your mobile number when prompted.
  2. Enter the code sent to your device into the TranSafe Portal.

Option 3 — Email

  1. Enter your email address when prompted.
  2. Enter the code sent to your email into the TranSafe Portal.
