The production TranSafe Portal at portal.transafe.com was upgraded to a new user interface on October 11th, 2022.
This new user interface includes many enhancements and updates to the look and usability of the TranSafe Portal. Some of the changes include, but are not limited to:
The Virtual Terminal and User Management features are now accessed through a single user interface. Users logging into the management system will be redirected to portal.test.transafe.com or portal.transafe.com.
The Login screen no longer prompts for three separate fields. The profile number and username have been combined into a single Username field. They should now be entered with a colon between them. For example:
Profile Number: | 123456789 |
User: | manager |
Password: | ********** |
Username: | 123456789:manager |
Password: | ********** |
Users can now be defined in an expanded hierarchy, comprised of Groups. Each group is a level in the hierarchy and groups can be contained within groups.
Users are no longer automatically created (e.g. manager and POS). Now you will individually create each user that will be accessing the profile.
Each user should now be assigned their own username (ideally their email address) and password. This allows them to perform their own password resets, and makes it easier to remove individual users when necessary.
The creation of the "POS" user is no longer recommended. Integrators should transition application software to use API keys instead of username and password. The gateway will continue supporting POS and unattended users, but they are not created automatically.
Users will no longer "Access Merchant Center" as a profile sub-user. Rather, users will be able to directly perform actions on behalf of the profile.
Two-Factor Authentication is now supported three ways: in-app, text, email. We recommend that all users enable two-factor authentication to prevent unauthorized access to their accounts.
